A Glimpse Inside a Boiling Water Reactor Nuclear Power Plant

Many people we ask about nuclear energy will readily admit they do not understand the processes or basics of nuclear energy.  Fission is just an interesting science word.  If they like science, they often know it has to do with an atom, or even the nucleus of an atom.  But most will go on to admit that they still have an opinion about nuclear energy - an uninformed one. Go Nuclear loves opportunities to bring the subject to light.  

If you ever wanted to know about what happens inside a nuclear plant, a guided walking tour would certainly bring the process to life.  But a guided tour is not offered very often. Since most of us will never get that opportunity, a video tour is the next best thing.  Please watch below and send along your questions and comments.  This is a working plant, and yes, the video was produced by the owners. It is accurate and has the “uranium pellet” example which I find to be very useful when comparing energy production, side by side with other options.
